Beer Events is promoting a tasting space with Catalan breweries at Europe’s leading professional trade fair
BrauBeviale is the most important beverage trade fair in Europe, bringing together all the players involved in brewing beer. With more than 40 years of history in the German city of Nuremberg, in 3 days more than 31,000 visitors and 953 exhibitors, 52% from outside Germany, where the products, solutions and services of the entire beer production chain were presented, from food raw materials, materials for packaging, packaging, machinery, water treatment, filtration, tooling, gases, etc..
Since 2016, Beer Events (organiser, among others, of the Barcelona Beer Festival) has had a collaboration agreement with the organisers of BrauBeviale, which involves an exchange of exhibition spaces at the corresponding fairs. In this year’s edition, Beer Events had a double participation, with its own stand where it explained the BBF festival, the InnBrew: The Brewers Convention and the beer competition (Barcelona Beer Challenge International Awards) and, on the other hand, it managed a tasting space aimed at professionals so that they could discover Catalan breweries, two long-established and two emerging, and thus explore future business opportunities.
In this edition, on 28, 29 and 30 November, four breweries took part in this project with two beers each, in collaboration with Beer Events: Soma, La Sitgetana, KOM and Engorile. The tastings were guided by a local sommelier and Joan Fiol, from the Beer Events team.
The beers were very well received, with a high participation of professionals interested in discovering a market as diverse and qualitative as ours. Once again, participation in fairs of this importance allows us to gain perspective and corroborate the international interest in the craft beer scene in our country.
