The emblematic Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona has been the scene of a historic celebration this weekend, to mark 125 years of cooperativism in the city.
Thousands of people, including representatives of associations, companies and citizens, gathered to commemorate the rich tradition of cooperativism in Catalonia, highlighting its role in the economic and social development of the region.
The event, organized by the Confederació de Cooperatives de Catalunya, featured a series of activities for all ages, including workshops, talks, exhibitions and live performances. The objective of the conference was to highlight the role of cooperatives in building a more just and cohesive society. The event was enlivened with different musical performances by Balkan Paradise Orchestra, Mamá Dousha, Sara Sokas and the Catalan group “La Pegatina” who offered the last concert in Catalonia of their “Hasta siempre Maricarmen” tour.
Alterevents was in charge of offering the bar service during all the performances and the cooperative brewery “La Bandolera” offered the attendees its proposals “Rubia” and “Tostá”. An installation of twenty-two taps entrusted to the Beer Events experience in the organization of gastronomic-beer events and that allowed attendees to enjoy the event without queues or crowds. From Beer Events we appreciate the trust placed and toast to the 125 years of cooperativism in Catalonia and those to come.
Health!
